Other grants and funding
You can find grants and funding available from a number of sources.
All government grants, tender opportunities and forecasts are published online on the website links below, this information is always free. You can sign up and choose keywords/categories/locations and more for notifications.
There are also Australian grant finder websites that collate and publish grant opportunities from the government, business, community, not-for-profit, research, and philanthropic sectors. These usually operate on a subscription basis and may be worthwhile signing up for if you are aiming to apply for several funding opportunities. This can make it easier to find more obscure grants such as philanthropic funding which doesn’t appear on government grant websites, so look for one with a free trial period.

State & local government funding
- Each state has its own grants website which you can find through Google. You may need to look at the individual department for more information, e.g. state department of health.
- Each state government has its own separate site advertising tenders, which can include tenders for the provision of subcontracted aged care services. You will need to register to view these opportunities.
- Local councils usually have small grants available with information posted on their individual websites.
Research & business grants
- Universities often have a publicly available list of research grants, which includes international funding. For example, https://staff.flinders.edu.au/research/funding
- Funding information for start-ups is available at business.gov.au as per the link listed above. You can also Google terms such as local incubators, accelerators, seed funding, and venture capital.
